What is P-sand

Conecc Plastering Sand is the very finest grade of sand. This raw material is used for plastering and creating renders both internally and externally. This Plastering Sand creates a very clean, smooth even finish to your plastering. It can also be used for pavement jointing to remove cracks.

Advantages of Plastering Sand (P-SAND)

  • Conecc Plastering Sand is the very finest grade of sand. This raw material is used for plastering and creating renders both internally and externally. This Plastering Sand creates a very clean, smooth even finish to your plastering. It can also be used for pavement jointing to remove cracks.

  • P-Sand can be produced in areas closer to construction sites, to reduce the cost of transportation, utilize highly professional machinery to create a high-value product and provide regular consistent supply.

  • Usage of P-Sand can surely reduce the cost since like river sand, it does not contain any impurities and wastage is zero percentage. In International standards, no river sand is used at all, only sand is manufactured and used, which gives superior strength and its shape ensures a perfect reduction in the cement used in the concrete.

  • P-Sand contains zero % of silt and clay particles and has denser particle packing than natural sand. It also offers higher strength, better frictional resistance, and lower permeability.

CHARACTERISTICS OF P-SAND

  • The shape of the P- sand resembles those of river sand

  • Our P-sand is super graded & adheres to the specifications of IS 1542- 1992 (RA 2014) standards.

  • P-sand contains many rock-forming minerals like quartz, micro, group of minerals, etc.

  • P- sand has zero percentage wastage which in turn gives better compression strength than river sand.

  • The need of the hour is in striking a balance between the growing needs of construction industries with Plastering M sand and Nature concerns to preserve river banks amid excessive sand mining.

SPECIFICATIONS OF PLASTERING SAND

  • Better Workability

  • Higher Compressive Strength

  • Higher Flexure Bond Strength

  • Higher Water Retentivity

  • 0% Wastage

The sand shall consist of natural sand, crushed stone sand crushed gravel sand, or a combination of any of these. The sand will be fine, smooth, and free from adherent coatings and organic matter and shall not contain clay, silt, and dust more than specified

COMPARISON BETWEEN M-SAND, P-SAND, AND RIVER SAND:-

Economy

No sieve loss; save labor, 100% material utilization

No sieve loss; No sieve loss; save labor, 100%material utilization

up to 20% wastage contains silt, dirt, and deleterious and un-uniformed material indirect cost lose 20%

Over-Sized Materials 0%. Since it is artificially manufactured. 0%. Since it is artificially manufactured 1 – 6% of minimum oversized materials can be expected.
Quality Better quality control. Better quality control. No control over quality.
Marine Products 0% 0% 1 – 2% like seashells, tree barks, etc
Eco-Friendly It causes less damage to the environment as compared to river sand. It causes less damage to the environment as compared to river sand. Harmful to the environment. Eco imbalances, reduce groundwater level and rivers water gets dried up.
Adulteration The probability of adulteration is less. The probability of adulteration is less. High probability of adulteration since filtered sand (a type of pre-washed sand that contains high silt contents) is mixed together. As a rule, supply shortage always brings adulterer products to the market.
Price Price ranges from Rs.35 – Rs.45 per cubic feet. Price ranges from Rs.50 – Rs.55 per cubic feet Price ranges from Rs 60 – 80 per cubic feet.
Water Content Minimum Water content Minimum Water content More than 60% of Water Content resulting in excess weight
Applications Highly recommended for RCC purposes and brick/ block works. Used for Wall plastering and brickwork purposes. Recommended for RCC, plastering, and brick/ blockwork.
